We are currently accepting applications for a new Park Planning and Development Manager in our Parks, Recreation and Community Services Department. The ideal candidate will have at least four (4) years of related work experience in a full range of construction project management, to include at least one (1) year of supervisory experience.
There is one full-time position that will be filled by this recruitment process. This is a benefited, non-represented position that is exempt from overtime.

SALARY:
$10,376.00- 12,634.00 per month, depending on experience (2024 salary range not reflective of any cost-of-living adjustment approved for 2025)

Under the direction of the Parks, Recreation and Community Services Director and/or Deputy Director, plan, organize, and manage the Parks Planning and Development Division within the Parks, Recreation, and Community Services Department. Manage public works projects for the Parks Department including supervising and performing complex and professional landscape architecture, engineering, and architecture projects; train, supervise, assign, and review the work of assigned personnel; assure efficient and effective functioning of the design, construction, and GIS functions in the Parks Department.
Work is characterized by a substantial amount of management, administrative and supervisory functions in scheduling, organizing, directing, evaluating and monitoring the planning and development of Kent's public park and trails system.
Work is performed independently under the general direction of the Parks, Recreation and Community Services Director and/or Deputy Director. The supervisor provides the incumbent with assignments in terms of broad practice, precedents, policies and goals. Work may be reviewed for fulfillment of program objectives and conformance with policy, practice, and/or objective.
