Land Use team member responsible for daily development issues of the department, specifically the implementation and enforcement of several County Ordinances. Primary duties include: preparation of staff reports to Zoning Board of Appeals, responding to land split inquiries, administrative survey review, and assisting applicants with commercial permitting process and erosion control permits.

Candidate should have strong communication skills, both written and oral. Must be able to interact tactfully and effectively with the public, and should be prepared to give public presentations to a variety of groups and organizations.

Bachelor's degree in planning, geography or closely related field, and one year work experience or internship equivilent in planning, zoning or related area. Must have knowledge regarding land use law and comprehensive planning. Familiarity with Geographic Information Systems (GIS) is recommended.
