The City of Fort Lauderdale, FL is hiring a NEIGHBORHOOD TRANSPORTATION PLANNER (PLANNER III) position that will assist in the facilitation of neighborhood multimodal transportation projects and larger citywide planing efforts in alignment with the City's transportation goals.

The City is a NACTO and Vision Zero City and will be going through the process of updating their Vision Zero Plan with a recent Safe Streets for All Grant. The goals for the Department focus on creating safe and complete streets as well as overall improvements of the transportation system for all users.

The position works closely with residents to identify transportation challenges and possible solutions, assists in the development of project concepts, small and large; and assists with partner agency project review and grant development. The position will directly support the Transportation Planning Program Manager and oversee the Planner II positions. Assists in transportation planning efforts developing planning studies and reports in support of new and updated plans, programs and regulations.
