The City of Taylor, TX is seeking a Director of Development Services.

THE CITY OF TAYLOR

The City of Taylor operates under the Council-Manager form of government and serves a population of 17,636 across 19 square miles. Taylor is a short 30-minute drive from downtown Austin, conveniently located to the capital city and all it has to offer. In the coming years, Samsung will finish construction of a $25 billion Chip Manufacturing Plant and the University of Texas will be building a technology campus in Taylor. THE DIRECTOR OF DEVELOPMENT SERVICES

The Director of Development Services is responsible for the effective and efficient accomplishment of the Development Services Department's projects, duties, customer services, and performance goals. The Department operates with a budget of $2.1 million and a team of 11 FTE across three divisions: Permitting, Planning, and Code Enforcement. Departmental activities include long-range planning, code compliance, permit processing, customer service, and contract management of third-party firms for plan review and inspections, urban design, and staff augmentation.
