The City of Boise is seeking a dynamic and experienced leader to serve as the Planning and Development Services Director. This executive-level position oversees four interconnected divisions — building compliance, current and long-range city planning and transportation planning, housing and community development, code compliance, and department operations — that collectively support Boise's vision of a safe, livable, and economically vibrant community.

Under administrative direction, the Director leads department-wide strategic planning, policy development, and implementation aligned with the City's strategic goals. This role is responsible for managing growth, guiding zoning and infrastructure planning, and ensuring equitable access to housing and services across the city. The Director is a key member of the City's leadership team and plays a central role in shaping Boise's future through thoughtful planning and development strategies.
