What does a Planning and Zoning Support Specialist do?
The Planning and Zoning Support Specialist plays a crucial role in the Planning & Zoning Department at Ferguson Township, provides administrative assistance and general planning support to the Planning and Zoning Department, and is responsible for file and record management and application and permit process tracking. This position requires the ability to manage a diverse range of activities, requiring regular interaction with the public while handling sensitive and confidential information. The Specialist operates under the general supervision of the Director of Planning & Zoning and provides essential support to the entire department. This role not only fosters development in local government practices but also contributes to the seamless functioning of the department's initiatives.
