The Director plays a vital role in the implementation and management of the department with responsibilities including:
- Oversight and management of all development services related tasks, projects, applications, customers, and staff.
- Oversight of all department staff including delegation of assignments, performance management, training, etc;
- Research and implement best practices to achieve the goals identified in the City's adopted development policies;
- Develop SOP's, performance measures, track and provide regular reporting on the Department's progress toward the implementation of adopted goals and policies including the comprehensive plan;
- Serve as staff liaison to assigned boards and commissions including attending public meetings;
- Manage tasks, projects, and contracts with third party firms including plan review and inspections, urban design, staff augmentation, etc;
- Oversee the preparation of the departmental budget and monitor expenditures and funded programs;
- Resolve customer issues; and
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Compensation: Competitive Salary, dependent upon qualifications
