The City-County Planning Commission of Warren County, located in the third largest city in Kentucky and one of the fastest growing communities in Kentucky, is now accepting resumes for the position of Planner I. The successful candidate will be an integral part of a team that helps guide growth and develop plans for the future of our dynamic community. The individual selected for this position should have a general knowledge of planning principles, processes and issues, and the ability to learn local government procedures. The successful candidate must be able to provide exceptional customer service.

Education: This position requires a Bachelor's degree in urban planning, public administration, architecture, engineering, environmental sciences or related field.

Experience: No professional planning experience is required. One year of experience and/or completion of an internship in planning or a related field at a public agency is preferred. Excellent organization, written and oral communication, and public relations skills are required. Experience with Geographic Information Systems (ESRI ArcGIS) is desired. A valid driver's license is required.

Starting Salary Range: $45,000 to $55,000 annually. Benefit package includes: pre-paid employee health and dental premiums, state retirement plan, twelve paid holidays, (PTO) paid time off.
