JOB DESCRIPTION

The City of Tucson's Department of Transportation & Mobility (DTM) is seeking an experienced transportation professional to manage the planning, scoping, and preliminary design of multimodal transportation capital projects.

The Planning Project Manager will be focused on delivering active transportation, complete street, and safety projects funded through Tucson's Proposition 407 Strong Connections and Proposition 411 Safe Streets funding programs. Project types include bicycle boulevards, protected bike lanes, pedestrian safety & walkability projects, greenways, and shared-use paths.

The Project Manager leads interdisciplinary teams of planners, engineers, landscape architects, and public engagement professionals focused on developing active transportation and complete street capital projects.

The ideal candidate will have experience with transportation planning and design, including knowledge of bicycle and pedestrian facility design and traffic operations.
