JOB DESCRIPTION

The Coastal Regional Commission (CRC) is a coastal Georgia based organization serving ten counties and thirty-five cities with comprehensive planning and development services. Our Planning and Government Services Department is announcing a new job opening for a Planning Manager. The position will manage assigned staff and work closely with local governments on advanced, highly complex professional planning and government services activities. The Planning Manager will:

• Manage assigned staff and daily operations
• Develop and implement local comprehensive plans
• Develop and implement regional plans
• Work with federal and state partners to administer projects
• Provide staff support to local governments
• Liaison between CRC and external organizations

The ideal candidate must meet the following qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Planning or related field.
• Minimum six years of planning related experience; graduate degree may substitute for 2 years of experience.
• Interdisciplinary knowledge of urban and regional planning and Georgia planning law.
• Proficient in interpreting federal and state regulations.
• Proficient in the use of computers and Office 365 software.
• Superior, demonstrated communication and interpersonal skills. Attention to detail, solid organization skills, and self-motivated.
