JOB DESCRIPTION

Required Education

Bachelor's Degree in Planning, Public Administration, Civil Engineering, or related field and 4 years of relevant work experience.

Experience Qualifications

8 years equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred Experience

Local government experience.

Skills and Abilities

• Exhibit excellent written, oral communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
• Must have exceptional ability in writing reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
• Must present information to management, public groups, and/or boards.
• Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference.
• Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
• Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written and oral form.

Licenses and Certifications

DL NUMBER - Driver License, Valid and in State Upon Hire Required

Candidate must pass a substance use screening prior to employment start date. Required

Certified Planner-AICP Upon Hire Preferred
