Under the supervision of the City Manager, the Planning Manager will oversee the day-to-day operations of the Planning Department and play a key role in guiding land use, design, and redevelopment efforts. This is a unique opportunity for a leader who thrives in a collaborative environment and is excited to influence policy, engage with the community, and bring innovative ideas to life.
If successful, the selected individual for this position will grow into the department's Director role.
In this role, you will:
- Lead and manage Planning Department operations
- Support policy development related to land use, design, and redevelopment
- Serve as a trusted advisor to the Planning Commission and City Council
- Work closely with developers, contractors, and the public
- Coordinate with regional and intergovernmental partners
- Help guide the vision and growth of a one-of-a-kind city
