James City County is in search of a Principal Transportation Planner who will help lead county efforts to provide citizens, businesses, and visitors with an efficient, safe, attractive, and resilient multimodal transportation system; one that is consistent with and reinforces the goals of the adopted Comprehensive Plan.
The successful candidate will be self-motivated, collaborative and experienced and this position will work frequently and collaboratively with other planning professionals, multiple county departments, the Virginia Department of Transportation, the Hampton Roads Transportation Planning Organization, residents, on-call consultants and other design professionals.
