JOB DESCRIPTION

The City of Greenbelt is seeking a Director of Planning and Community Development to lead its planning, zoning, and code enforcement functions. This executive-level position is responsible for formulating and implementing policies and programs that guide the City's orderly growth and development, while promoting public health, safety, and general welfare, protecting property values, and anticipating future community needs.

Working under the direction of the City Manager, the Director establishes departmental goals, develops long-range planning strategies, and ensures effective administration of development review and regulatory processes. The position exercises full supervisory responsibility over planning, permitting, and code enforcement staff.
