JOB DESCRIPTION

The City of Bartlesville is seeking a Planner I/II to support the Community Development Department.

Under the direction of the Community Development Director, this position performs professional planning work related to land use, zoning, subdivision regulations, development review, and municipal plans and policies.

Duties include reviewing plats, site plans, variances, special use permits, rezonings, and zoning compliance requests; preparing staff reports; assisting with planning studies and community development projects; supporting boards and committees; responding to public inquiries; and helping interpret and apply applicable codes, ordinances, and regulations.

The position also assists with front counter support, development meetings, field inspections, long-range planning efforts, and community development grants.

A bachelor's degree in urban planning or a related field is preferred, along with two years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. A valid driver's license is required.
