The city's zoning code includes a chapter on solar energy systems (§1155). The code defines ground-mounted and roof-mouted solar energy systems and allows them as a permitted accessory use in all districts. Development standards address height, location, lot coverage, setbacks, utility lines, screening, and glare. The code describes the administrative review process for building permits for solar energy systems, including submittal requirements. A Certificate of Appropriateness must also be obtained in historic districts.
