solar energy

The county's zoning code defines "solar energy farm" (§66-20(c)). The code allows solar energy farms in the Agricultural district by right; applicants must provide a detailed site plan to demonstrate no adverse effect on neighboring properties, and vegetated buffers may be required to limit visual impacts (§66-72(a); §66-73(l)). The code also allows solar energy farms in the Industrial-Manufacturing district by right with the same requirements (§66-112(a); §66-113(l)).
