The city's subdivision regulations establish Solar Access Easements, which allows the city to impose a requirement that subdividers dedicate solar easements for each parcel (Sec. 22-8.10). The Planning and Zoning Commission must specify standards for determining the exact measurements for such easements, as well as any restrictions on vegetation and other obstructions that might block solar access.
