The city's comprehensive plan Environmental Stewardship section include Action Steps of uzing alternative energy, such as solar in future buildings and facilities wherever possible (ES-A.1.3) and encouraging new development projects to incorporate solar access and energy into their designs (ES-B.1.5), as well as a Utilities element policy of exploring and encouraging alternative energy sources, including solar (UT-C.8).
