The county's Comprehensive Plan addresses solar in its Environmental Quality element, with recommended strategies including prioritizing renewable energy as an optimal energy source, implementing energy efficiency guideines in which streets and buildings have solar orientation, examining the feasibility of renewable energy generation in the county, and encouraging the development of alternative energy supply options including solar (Section 3.9.6, Policy d).
