The city's Climate Action Plan includes a section on Energy that suggests adopting lists of measures that would garner points in a screening exercise, including suggested local energy reduction measures such as new residential and commercial energy efficiency requirements that would include solar hot water heaters (R2-E1, R2-E2), as well as new residential and commercial renewable energy requirements that would include on-site solar PV and water heating, as well as supporting off-site solar generation and incorporating "solar ready" features (R2-E3, R2-E4), and existing residential and commercial energy retrofits that would include solar water heating (R2-E5, R2-E6).
