Tiny Houses and Micro-Apartments

The municipality’s building code defines and regulates chassis-mounted tiny houses as recreational vehicles. Its definition for “tiny house trailer” stipulates that these units are intended to provide temporary living quarters (§15.50.030). Tiny houses can only be inhabited if sited in a recreational vehicle park (§15.50.050). The municipality’s zoning code permits recreational vehicle parks in one residential zoning district (§19.06.030.A.3.g).
