The city’s zoning code defines and regulates tiny houses on foundations as a distinct type of dwelling. It defines “tiny house” as any single-family detached residence with less than 500 ft² are tiny houses and clarifies that chassis-mounted tiny houses are considered recreational vehicles (§22-11). Tiny houses are permitted in one residential district, subject to standards addressing building footprint, lot coverage, permanent foundation, inspections, appearance, and units per lot (§22-6-502(F)).
