This article challenges the notion that medical marijuana laws lead to increased marijuana use in teens. The authors studied adolescent marijuana usage in states with and without medical marijuana laws. They found that states with medical marijuana laws have higher rates of teen marijuana use but these rates did not change in a statistically significant way following the passage of medical marijuana laws.
