Grayfields Reuse and Redevelopment

The Chelsea, MA Code of Ordinances outlines a Shopping Center Interim Planned Overlay District that is intended to prevent poorly planned commercial development that might have negative impacts should economic trends change. The overlay requires projects to be mixed-use. Standards are left to the underlying district (§34-181-c).
