Age-Friendly Communities

This report discusses multiple strategies to support naturally occurring retirement communities (NORC) in Montgomery County, Maryland. It includes examples of communities that support aging in place from around the U.S. The authors recommend identifying NORCs and then partnering with community groups that have been organizing “neighborhood villages” that assist local seniors, free of charge, with activities, medical services and transport, etc.
