Rethinking Off-Street Parking Requirements

The town’s zoning code includes multiple types of policy-driven off-street parking requirements. It exempts all uses in the Downtown Commercial district from minimum off-street parking requirements (§A-5201(c)). It establishes maximum parking requirements for all nonresidential uses (§A-5220). And it authorizes parking reductions for shared parking facilities (A-5222).
