Tree Preservation and the Urban Forest 

This functional plan, commissioned by the U.S. Forest Service, is intended to function as a framework local governments can look to when considering their own urban forestry plans and targets. The plan features case studies of best practices regarding urban forestry plans and ordinances. Its goals include integrating urban forestry into all scales of planning, improving management, increasing public awareness, and more. Each goal is accompanied by strategies and actions to be taken at different levels of government and across sectors.
