Community Visioning

The city's detailed vision statement was created to inform a 2000 update of the comprehensive plan and was adopted by the city council. The vision statement includes narratives that describe the community's visions for the central city, cultural enrichment and recreation, economic vitality, education and human services, governing and civic involvement, environmental protection, and where people live. Each chapter of the city's comprehensive plan incorporates relevant vision statement elements.
