Tree Preservation and the Urban Forest

The city’s urban forest plan provides policy recommendations organized under six broad goals: improving management efficiency, allocating the necessary resources to sustain the program, having a health forest, having informed residents, providing social benefits through trees, and growing the forest in number and diversity. Each goal includes challenges, actions to be taken for each challenge, and annual objectives. The plan also features a more extensive implementation timeline, breaking down objectives for each of the first five years, as well as in the longer term.
