Tree Preservation and the Urban Forest

The city’s urban forest plan provides policy recommendations for public and private trees. It addresses issues like water conservation and drought tolerant species and encourages methods that can help species adapt to the city’s conditions, including adequate soils, avoiding supplemental water dependency, bare rooting, and more. The plan builds off previous urban forest plans and presents detailed information about the existing tree canopy and quantified tree benefits.
