Tree Preservation and the Urban Forest 

The city’s urban forest plan includes policy recommendations that prioritize canopy expansion to mitigate the effects of climate change. Additional goals include maximizing management efficiencies and minimizing risk to trees. The plan’s implementation table delineates departmental (i.e., Planning, Parks and Recreation, etc.) responsibilities for each strategy.
