Tree Preservation and the Urban Forest 

The city’s urban forest plan includes policy recommendations for public and private trees. It outlines several action strategies, including integrating trees into the city’s infrastructure, appointing a city arborist and updating inventory data, cultivating citizen involvement, and more. Specifically, the plan calls for the identification of heritage trees, enactment of a tree removal policy, and incorporation of the urban forest into the city’s comprehensive plan.
