Tree Preservation and the Urban Forest 

The city’s urban forest plan includes policy recommendations for public and private trees and emphasizes community outreach. Strategies include better understanding the complexity of the urban forest, inspiring and informing the community about the benefits of the urban forest, coordinating interdepartmental cooperation, regulating private property to protect trees, and preserving and enhancing the urban forest.
