Comprehensive Planning

This guide, created to help Wisconsin municipalities meet state planning requirements, covers how to develop the transportation element of the local comprehensive plan. The guidebook focuses on the interconnectedness of transportation with each of the other elements covered in comprehensive plans and addresses public participation, regional and state coordination, conducting the local transportation planning process, connecting transportation with land-use decisions as well as economic and environmental issues, and implementation and funding.
