Rethinking Off-Street Parking Requirements

The city’s unified development code includes multiple types of policy-driven off-street parking requirements. It exempts all uses in the City Center District that don’t abut a specific residential district from all off-street parking requirements and replaces minimum off-street parking requirements with maximum requirements in all other districts (§6.3.C.1). It also authorizes parking reductions for shared parking facilities (§6.3.E.1).
