Improving Development Review

This in-house report conducted by the city audit department analyzed the performance of development review services as a follow-up to a 1997 audit of the process. It examines the timeliness of permit processing, customer satisfaction with development review services, the reasonableness of fee setting and cost recovery practices, performance measurement and report efforts, and the status of earlier reform efforts. The report offers recommendations for continued improvement along with other elements, such as suggested performance measurement indicators.
