Design Review

These design guidelines apply within the Downtown Overlay District, featuring a TIF district and downtown plan, and seek to maintain the traditional historic character of the downtown overlay district. For new development, the guide differentiates between guidelines for "infill development" within the existing streetscape, which restricts architectural styles to those of surrounding buildings, and guidelines for "standard development" in less-dense areas, which provide more architectural flexibility.  The guide also addresses façade renovations and elements, signage, fencing, lighting, landscaping, and maintenance.
