Food Systems

This food systems plan was adopted as a chapter of the county's comprehensive plan. The plan establishes a vision statement, four goals, and 21 policies to help create a vibrant local food system. It provides background information on elements of the food system and the economic, environmental, and community benefits of local food; inventories local food production; and explains how local governments can use policies, regulations, fiscal incentives, and other mechanisms to strengthen local food systems.
