Small Wireless Facilities and Wireless Facilities in the ROW

The city code's Streets and Sidewalks chapter regulates the construction of personal wireless telecommunications services and facilities in the public right-of-way (§12-22). The code defines "distributed antenna system (DAS)" and "small cell antennas," and provides regulations and standards that address number limitations, separation and setback requirements, colocation, and additional requirements for attachment of wireless facilities to utility poles that address size, height, locational placement, and aesthetics. The code establishes an application fee of $1,000 and provides guidelines for determination of approved installation sites.
