Group Housing

This report from California organization Mental Health Advocacy Services provides an overview of how fair housing laws protect the development and use of housing for people with disabilities and explains how housing developers and providers can use the reasonable accommodation provisions of the law. It explains how housing developers and providers should make requests for reasonable accommodations and the legal basis by which local governments should evaluate those requests, as well as some examples of the reasonable accommodations that housing developers and providers may need and, based on case law, have a likelihood of obtaining from local government.
