This report from the Worcester Regional Research Bureau looks at the controversies surrounding the siting of residential social service programs for those with substance abuse issues in Worcester, Massachusetts. The authors draw distinctions between two different facilities and ultimately decide that facilities with heavy resident supervision are more compatible with residential areas than those with little supervision.
