Environmentally Sensitive Areas

The city’s land development code contains standards, guidelines, and criteria for a sensitive area overlay zone. The overlay zone includes slopes, flood plains, streams, lakes ponds, wetlands, and hazard areas (§15A-15-02). Development standards include a section of guidelines for areas containing 30% or greater slopes, along with standards that apply to all sensitive areas (§15A-15-04).
