Environmentally Sensitive Areas

The town’s zoning code aims to balance land use and protection of natural resources. It discusses water features and wetland buffers, floodplains, natural river areas, and tree and woodland preservation (§36-342 et seq.). It includes requirements for water feature buffer zones, natural vegetation strips, and buffers between land uses and highways.
