This guide was produced by the Vermont Law School Land Use Clinic for the Vermont Planners Association to help support and foster agricultural expansion. It focuses on “agripreneurism,” or the diversification of on-farm businesses. The guide explores the current ambiguous nature of agripreneurial use regulations within the state. It discusses possible municipal approaches to agripreneurial uses, including developing a policy framework in municipal plan goals and adopting specific regulations allowing agripreneurial uses. An appendix offers model town plan and zoning bylaw language for agripreunerial uses.
