Agritourism | Food Systems

The county’s unified development ordinance addresses agritourism through provisions for rural special events. Rural special events located on bona fide farms are permitted in rural buffer and agricultural districts (§5.2) and certain conditional zoning districts (§5.2). The code provides evaluation standards for rural special events that address application materials, setbacks, maximum attendance and frequency, noise, and hours of operation (§5.17.8). The code provides parking standards (Table 6.9.7) as well as a definition (§10.1) for this use.
