Creative Placemaking

This functional plan focuses on strategies to support existing character through creative placemaking. It highlights creative assets, including a history of well-attended diverse cultural events, many resident creative and cultural entrepreneurs, and political will to support the arts and culture. It recommends four strategies to engage in creative placemaking, including envisioning a future that nurtures a strong arts and culture presence, creating opportunities to highlight the creative culture of the city, encouraging connections within the arts communities, shaping the physical space of the city by supporting arts and culture anchors, and responding to affordable housing needs for artists and makers.
