This report presents the results of research measuring the performance of transit-oriented development (TOD) areas with respect to jobs by sector, housing choice and affordability, and job-worker balance. Individual chapters address changes in employment in TOD areas, a theory that fixed-guideway transit systems enhances community economic resilience, transit corridor proximity and rents, TODs effects on housing development, TODs effects on housing affordability, the influence of transit service on job creation, TODs effects on commute time, and case studies of TOD along three transit corridors.
