Transit-Oriented Development

This report presents an in-depth analysis of the barriers to building mixed-income housing as a component of transit-oriented development (TOD) and suggests strategies to overcome these barriers. Individual chapters explore the connections between housing and transportation, the effects of location on cost of living, housing trends in five case-study regions, lessons learned from the case studies, and policy recommendations for federal, state, regional, and local agencies.
