Transit-Oriented Development

This multi-volume report reviews research to date about the relationships between transit service, urban form, and the built environment and provides guidance for practitioners to help them plan and implement transit improvements. The first volume is an extensive literature review. The second volume investigates how land use effects transit service costs, provides recommendations for corridor planning, and presents case studies of international efforts to promote transit-oriented development (TOD).
